Definition
A complete explanation of the intended meaning of a concept- Feet shaped like a bracket, straight on the outside and trimmed in the form of a bracket on the inside. The foot runs two ways from the corners, in more or less simple shapes. It appeared in the first half of the 18th century. The type was highly ornamented by Chippendale in England, by Goddard and others in America.
